One of the best parts about being a PreK-8 school is connecting students across all grade levels. Today, our whole school came together for our first building-wide activity of the year.

Events like this help our students get to know one another, build community, and recognize the unique, God-given talents each person brings to our school. It was great watching older and younger students collaborate and learn from each other.

ALERT: St. Joseph School will be dismissing at 12:40 PM on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 due to extreme heat

- No PM Preschool
- No PM Busing

Lunch will still be served - Lunch will be in gym (climate controlled)

Early Learning Center open normal hours - ELC operates in climate-controlled area

Why St. Joseph is Dismissing Early?
With temperatures near or above 90 degrees for multiple consecutive days this week, the school’s air-conditioning system is unable to keep the building sufficiently cool, despite the school being air conditioned.

All other Xavier Catholic Schools will remain on normal schedules on Friday.

We couldn't have asked for a better start to the school year than celebrating our first Mass yesterday. Seeing our entire student body, from PreK to 8th grade, growing in faith and worshiping in the presence of Jesus is at the heart of everything we do. ✝️

A reminder that we are aware that dress code orders from Land's End have been delayed in shipping and that our dress code supply at the Saints Shop is low.

Due to this, GRADES 6-8 here at St. Joseph School and GRADES 6-8 at Xavier Middle School (LaSalle and Regis Campuses) will have a grace period for dress code polos until September 8th in the requirement of the cross and halo logo on shirts until TUESDAY, SEPT. 8th (unless communicated otherwise).

Students are still expected to be in a navy, white, gray, or light blue polo shirt with logos no larger than a quarter.

NOTE: This grace period applies only to Grades 6-8. It does not apply to Xavier High School.
