GRADE REPORTS ARE NOW DUE

Grade Reports are fast approaching. Now is a good time to do a short review of your school year so far. Now is a good time to do a quick audit of your chosen curriculum. Do you want to keep, tweak, or drop it for next year? Check where your child stands in terms of pacing and mastery, especially in math and reading. Keep or fix the academic routine that works best for your family. Remember that change does not equal failure. Please don't get discouraged when something doesn't work; make it better. Below is a great article to use as a checklist for starting fresh this 2nd semester

Where did 2025 go!? We hope all of our 3J4 Academy students and families had a successful first semester, and are ready to finish the 25-26 school year strong in the second semester!

We’re seeing an increase in cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in our community. HFMD is a common viral illness that typically affects young children, especially during the summer and early fall.
Common symptoms include:
🔹 Fever
🔹 Sore throat
🔹 Painful mouth sores
🔹 Rash or blisters on hands, feet, and sometimes the buttocks

🦠 It’s caused by a virus and spreads through close contact, sneezes, coughs, and shared surfaces.

💡 What you can do:
✔️ Keep your child home until no fever x 24hrs, no drooling, and feeling better
✔️ Encourage handwashing often and disinfect toys and surfaces
✔️ Treat with Tylenol or ibuprofen for fever/pain
✔️ Keep them hydrated — mouth sores can make drinking uncomfortable
✔️ Call us if your child isn’t drinking, has a high fever, or seems unusually sleepy

Most kids recover in 7–10 days with rest, fluids, and TLC ❤️
