The kids and I caught one of the butterflies 🦋 emerging!! All the kids were very excited!

We had some sidewalk chalk obstacle course fun today! ☀️ The kids hopped through circles, followed the wiggly line, stomped along the footprints, practiced balancing, jumped over shapes, spun around and made their way to the end.
Such a fun way to get those little bodies moving while working on balance, coordination, following directions and gross motor skills.

Sunflower Art! 🌻
Today we made our own beautiful sunflowers! The kids colored their flowers and then added real sunflower seeds to the centers.
A simple little project that gave us a chance to talk about sunflowers and seeds while also practicing coloring, gluing, and those important little fine motor skills. 💛

Monday we only had 4 friends at the end of the day. It was nice to have snack outside on the patio. 😃

Water play started out nice and clean… and then somebody discovered the mud. 😂💦
Before I knew it, we had wet kids, muddy feet, muddy legs, and some VERY happy little humans. 🤣 Apparently the best part of water play is making your own mud puddles!

🌧️ The rain finally gave us a little break, so we wasted NO time getting outside! 😂🫧
We took the bubble machine out to the patio and enjoyed some much needed fresh air and bubble chasing! Sometimes the simplest things bring the biggest smiles. 💕🫧

😂😂 This is daycare NASCAR! They’re all circling the table while their cars race around the track completely serious about their laps, too.
Cars, cooperation, and exercise all at once. Wear those little munchkins out! 🏎️💨

Oh my goodness today was full of little backyard discoveries! We found a live cicada, monarch caterpillars, and the cutest little toad! 🐛🐸 The kids were absolutely fascinated. There was so much excitement, curiosity, and laughter today! 🤣💚
