Marion Martial Arts Grandmaster Randy Robinson to Receive Prestigious 2026 G.O.A.T. Honors Award
MARION, NORTH CAROLINA — Grand Master Randy Robinson of Robinson Martial Arts, Marion, North Carolina, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious 2026 G.O.A.T. Honors (Greatest of All Time) Martial Arts Award, recognizing his extraordinary lifetime of leadership, innovation, and service to the martial arts community.
The G.O.A.T. Honors Awards, founded by Grand Master Lawrence Arthur, recognize distinguished martial artists from around the world whose lifelong commitment to excellence, leadership, instruction, and community service has made a lasting impact on generations of students and instructors. The 2026 awards ceremony will be held on July 25, 2026, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Grand Master Robinson began his martial arts journey in 1972, studying Chinese Kempo in Hawaii before continuing his training in Shotokan Karate, Goju-Shorin Karate, and Yosh*tsune Combat Ju-Jitsu. Following decades of competition, instruction, and study, he founded the Sakura-Ryu™ Karate System, blending traditional Okinawan karate principles with practical self-defense techniques. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Sakura Ryu Karate Systems and is the Editor-in-Chief of The Martial Arts Extraordinaire Magazine.
A nationally recognized competitor, Grand Master Robinson is a two-time AAU Champion, a Battle of Atlanta Division Champion, and was ranked among the Top Ten competitors in North America by the North American Sport Karate Association. He holds a 10th Degree Black Belt in Sakura-Ryu Karate, a 7th Degree Black Belt in Goju-Shorin Karate, and is a certified Yosh*tsune Combat Ju-Jitsu instructor. Throughout his distinguished career, he has been inducted into numerous martial arts halls of fame and has served on the advisory boards of several national martial arts organizations.
