Last week, Tri-Rivers staff gathered for our annual staff in-service, taking time to prepare for a successful school year through collaboration, professional learning, and strategic planning.

The day began with breakfast provided by 🥞 Chris Cakes of Ohio, followed by a celebration of our summer birthdays. Staff then engaged in strategic planning sessions, small-group rotations, and a book study focused on strengthening career and technical education practices.

Thank you to Chris Cakes of Ohio for helping us start the day, and thank you to our dedicated staff for your continued commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences for our students.

🎉 50 Years. 50 Alumni. 50 Success Stories.

As we celebrate 50 years of Tri-Rivers Career Center, we're honored to recognize alumni whose journeys continue to inspire future generations.

⭐ Steve Blankley
🎓 Class of 1999
- Home School: Ridgedale High School
- Tri-Rivers Program: Landscaping
- Current Career: Delaware Area Career Center

Steve credits Tri-Rivers—and especially Mrs. Kerry Beckel—with helping shape him into the leader, educator, and person he is today. The lessons he learned through the Landscaping program, FFA, and athletics gave him the confidence to serve more than 20 years in the United States Army before beginning a career in career and technical education.

After retiring from the Army, Steve returned to Tri-Rivers as a full-time substitute teacher before joining the Delaware Area Career Center, where he now inspires the next generation of skilled professionals. He has also earned both a bachelor's degree and a Master of Education and was recognized as a Tri-Rivers Outstanding Alumni in 2014.

"Tri-Rivers didn't just prepare me for a career—they helped shape my character, instilled a commitment to lifelong learning, and inspired a desire to give back. I hope my journey reminds others of the lasting impact educators can have on their students."

Thank you, Steve, for your service, your dedication to education, and for continuing the Tri-Rivers tradition of changing lives.
