Science and Sensory Week 🧪

We got our hands messy last week when we made bubble foam, kool-aid play dough, and jello slime…but we also kicked our shoes off and took a sensory walk outside!

Last week was the perfect week for outdoor fun and silly games!

Outside we took turns throwing a “javelin”, participated in a long jump competition, played disc golf, co****le and even used our leg muscles to set off a rocket!

Inside we played silly games! Our favorite game involved wiggling a cookie from our forehead to our mouth without using our hands! 🍪😂

And the best part? Silly games means silly prizes!

This week was definitely a class favorite…PETS WEEK!! 🐶🐈

We made a classroom Pet Shop, set up a grooming station, and; of course, a Veterinary Clinic.

Watching the kids role play and listening to conversations as they used their imagination was THE BEST.

We also painted with feathers and string and ended the week with a very special (and very sweet!) visitor! 🐶🐶

Last week we celebrated Christmas in July! 🎄🌊

We made indoor snow, built Christmas trees out of stacked cups, decorated cones as trees (and then ate them!), had spoon relays, ice skated on paper plates, had a snowball fight and enjoyed a nice cold glass of frozen hot chocolate!

And the summer fun continues….😎

This week has been all about BUGS!! 🐜

We made fly swatter paintings, participated in nectar relays, played hula hoop spider web toss, made honeycomb fireflies, lady bug plates, and even snuck in time to have popsicles before lunch!
