If you're a nurse balancing rotating shifts, childcare, and family time, adding graduate coursework can feel impossible.

Indiana Wesleyan University has launched its Bachelor in Intelligence and Criminal Analysis, a 90-credit, fully online degree program designed to fast-forward working adults into careers in law enforcement, national security, cybersecurity, and private-sector intelligence.

Developed in direct response to growing workforce demand, the program combines technical training in data analytics, geographic information systems (GIS), and cyber intelligence with IWU’s emphasis on Christ-centered, ethical leadership. The result is a career-focused curriculum that equips graduates for roles such as intelligence analyst, crime analyst, and cyber intelligence specialist.

"Indiana Wesleyan University's Bachelor in Intelligence and Criminal Analysis prepares analysts to meet the demands of modern law enforcement and security with a distinctly Christian approach,” said Brent Moore, Ph.D., professor of psychology and chair of the Division of Behavioral and Health Sciences. “In just 90 credits, students master cyber intelligence, crime mapping, predictive analytics, and AI tools while developing the ethical reasoning and servant leadership that set IWU graduates apart. It's affordable, accelerated, and deeply faith-integrated.”

At 90 credit hours, the program is intentionally streamlined with approximately 25% fewer credits than traditional bachelor’s programs, allowing students to graduate sooner or go at their own pace and with lower overall tuition costs. The fully asynchronous online format is designed specifically for working adults, offering the flexibility to balance coursework with professional and personal commitments.

Students also benefit from stackable certificates that provide industry-recognized credentials before graduation, as well as hands-on learning experiences including virtual internships and applied projects using real-world tools and scenarios.

The Bachelor in Intelligence & Criminal Analysis is now accepting applications. Classes are offered in an accelerated format with multiple start dates throughout the year.

Body cameras. Cloud records. Smartphone data. Modern criminal justice runs on digital evidence, and employers are hiring for it.

A single investigation today can generate thousands of digital files: body-worn camera footage, surveillance video, text messages, GPS records, social media, and more. That shift has changed what agencies expect from new hires.
