It was opening day of the Kentucky State Fair and something magical was in the air! 💫
Crittenden County youth had a great day giving speeches and getting their country hams judged. Congratulations to the following youth for placing in their age group: Gracie Freeman, 1st place ham, Brooklyn Lovell, 3rd place ham and Russell Vince, 2nd place speech. All of our youth participating did a great job, giving a speech is not easy and these youth are gaining valuable skills to take them far in life!

💙We'd also like to thank Homemaker Karey Morris for volunteering her time to be a country ham speech judge today. We appreciate her giving of her time to Kentucky 4-H. She probably heard and judged over 40 speeches today.
We'd also like to congratulate all of our 4-H'ers who have projects in Cloverville! 🎉We had a record number of youth send projects and a record amount of projects! We earned 12 Class Champion ribbons in some very competitive classes. Russell Vince competed in the Civics Bee and after many rigorous rounds of questions from the US Citizenship test, he placed 3rd. Congratulations to our youth, you represent Crittenden County well! 🍀🌟🍀

The green shavings in Louisville are busy this morning- it’s OPENING DAY OF KENTUCKY STATE FAIR!!!! If you want to come experience the livestock shows, exhibits and all the fair food you can join us next week August 28 for a day trip to the fair. Please call the office to reserve your spot, we do have limited seating in the van.

Be sure to come by and sign up for some upcoming 4-H activities! Don't miss out on all of the great things going on.

🪼You dont want your kidsds to miss out on this trip.
Camp Jekyll provides youth with hands-on experiences that go beyond the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about marine life, coastal ecosystems, conservation, and the unique environment of the Georgia coast while making memories and building friendships along the way.
It's first come, first served; if interested, get your deposit in ASAP! Anyone that went with us 3 years ago can tell you, it's one of the best trips they've ever taken!
