Discover the concept of 'mind bandits' – those limiting beliefs kids form. Instead of pushing them down with toxic positivity, learn how naming these thoughts empowers children to conquer them.

It's a common misconception that a child's emotions equate to disobedience. Adults also face challenges with emotional regulation, and these skills develop over time. Managing our own emotions is key before we can guide children. www.larkssong.com

Well-Being Certificate at draft for the Citrine Cohort in Indianapolis was full of authentic connection, rain, Mexican Cokes, short and long eudaimonic well-being practices, laughter, tears, afternoons brain-fry, and (of course) zines!

Real talk: I keep hearing “it seems like there’s not much going on at Lark’s Song” — and I laugh, because there’s so much happening. We’ve just been heads-down doing the work instead of talking about it. That changes now.

Here’s where we are:
The Well-Being Certificate is a 4-day program for anyone with the ability to impact their own well-being and the well-being of the people around them — your family, your office, your community, your congregation. You’ll leave with the tools, resources, and scholarship to keep up with an ever-growing body of research on what helps kids and adults flourish.

Coming soon: Superhero Camp in a Box and Superhero Camp coaching circles, so we can extend our kids’ well-being programming beyond Marion.

We want to communicate proactively, with enough lead time that you can find where you fit — as a participant, a partner, or a supporter. If any of this landed with you, that’s the invitation. Let’s talk about how we might work together to make the world a more fulfilled and flourishing place. 🌍

Next video: we’ll go deeper on Superhero Camp in a Box — what it is and who it’s for.

The United Nations has made well-being a top global priority for the next decade. The CDC is doing the same for children’s mental health. And the language everyone’s converging on is preventative and protective factors — the things that guard against psychological injury and the lifelong impact of trauma, and the things that build resilience and support real healing.

We’ve been doing this work since 2016. It started with a well-being curriculum for primary-age kids in sub-rural Zambia. Then a day camp here in our own community. Then something we didn’t expect to need: training the adults.
We offered the curriculum for free, but the parents, teachers, and leaders using it hadn’t practiced it themselves — so they couldn’t lead from a place of their own well-being. That’s why we built the Well-Being Certificate: so the adults raising, teaching, and leading kids can tend to their own preventative and protective factors first.

Next video: what’s actually happening at Lark’s Song right now — and how you can be part of it.

It feels like monsoon-level thunderstorms here in Marion, Indiana — and a storm knocking out my power gave me the space to sit with something I’ve been processing.

This morning, in a design therapy mastermind with Marion Design Co., we named something called the “borrowed language problem” — using words that sound like your industry instead of words that sound like you.

That’s the tension I live in constantly at Lark’s Song. The research on well-being, transformation, and positive psychology is so far ahead of applied practice that translating “what actually works” into language that lands across business, education, therapy, coaching, and wellness — without watering it down — is genuinely hard.

Here’s what I do know: globally, the United Nations, the CDC, and SAMHSA are all prioritizing children’s well-being right now. Next video, I’m getting into why — and what we’ve built in response. 🎥⤵️

Part 2 - the research behind why children’s well-being is a global priority, and the history of how Lark’s Song’s programs came out of it.

UPDATE ‼️ NEW DATES

For the manager who’s tired of watching good people burnout. For the teacher who’s watching her colleagues quit. For the conscious parent who wants better tools that “just calm down, you’re okay.” For the spiritual guide carrying everyone else’s hard weeks. For the healing professional wearing themselves thin. For the person wanting more joy, connection, and aliveness.

40 people have completed this training. We asked them how it went and here’s what they told us:

✅ 100% would recommend it - every single respondent rated their experience as a 9 or 10 out of 10
✅ 9.9/10 overall satisfaction with their training experience
✅ They estimated at least 15+ people a week would be positively impacted by their learning

Numbers like that don’t happen by accident! Join us next week in Indianapolis. Our Citrine Cohort starts next Friday (we’re naming groups after rocks now and we’re EXCITED about it!) 💛

Great coaching doesn't begin with having all the answers. It begins with building the right foundation.
This first on-site training marked the beginning of the journey for participants in Lark's Song's Coach Training Program. Together, we explored the foundations of coaching—developing the mindset, presence, and core skills needed to help others grow.
Coaching isn't about fixing people or having all the right answers. It's about asking thoughtful questions, listening deeply, building trust, and creating the space for meaningful transformation.
This was just the first of three on-site trainings, and we're excited to watch each participant continue to grow into the coach they're becoming.
Interested in joining our next coach training cohort beginning in January? Learn more at www.larkssong.com
