but while we’re here…

applications/interviews starting March 14th 10 till 1 and Tuesday 15th 3 till 6 and Wednesday 16th. 10 till 1 We will be hiring for all positions. Kitchen cooks, dish washers, hostess, waitresses, food runner etc.. Please share and come be part of the marina family. We are planning on opening to the public Friday April 1st. At 4:00. Time for Spring!!!

Boyd Carson Pyatt Jr. NEWTON Boyd Carson Pyatt Jr., 63, of Newton, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 7, at Grace Covenant-East Lincoln Campus in Denver, N.C., with visitation one hour prior to the service. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.

MARION HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1971's FORTY-FIFTH REUNION

Hi All,

First, thank you to Judy for securing a place, seeking out many classmate contacts, and being a major force in planning a fun evening for us. Thanks also to Jerry for getting information on T-shirts.

Here are the details for our reunion evening!

What: Meet and Greet, Dinner "on your own" from their menu, DJ, door prizes, full bar, and lots of catching up.
There is also a cruise in car show at the Tailgate Market on Henderson for anyone who may be interested.
When: August 27, 2016
Time: 6:30-10:30 PM
Where: The Depot Grill's Private Room-Corner of Henderson and Main Street, downtown Marion

RSVP: So that the owner can plan for staff please let us know if you are coming. You can message me or contact either Judy or me.

The owner is letting us have the room and supplying staff at no cost so we want to be sure to tip them appropriately.

Judy is mailing letters to those classmates we have no email or other way to reach. She and I are covering the cost of the DJ up front so we would welcome attendees chipping in a little to help cover the various things that have been done to get this set up ($5 if you feel comfortable doing so). Should we get more than has been spent, we will put it in a kitty for the next reunion. Any feed back or suggestions are welcome. We would love to know if you want a 50th, where, theme, etc. since it a major milestone).

We are excited to see everyone. Please share this with anyone you see missing on the receiving list. Look forward to hearing form you.

Update 2016 Reunion
There are several conflicts with the September dates. The marina isn't open after the 17th and Labor Day just doesn't seem sane. August 20th is an option. Please give feedback. Thanks M.

Please share your thoughts about when, where, and what for our 45th reunion. Also please share with others that you may talk to but aren't included... I'd welcome any additional contact information.


When? August 20, 27 September 10, 17, October 1 Other?

Where? Bear Creek Marina-free, Marion Lake Club-$350 fee to rent, The Depot $400 to rent the latter 2 will require a caterer Other?

What? Dinner, Lunch, Picnic, other?

Bear Creek would be pay as you go and most likely have music
Other venues will require us to set a cost and gather funds up front.
