New Manna Christian School (NMCS) was founded in 1995 as a ministry to the young people of New Manna Baptist Church and the citizens of McDowell and surrounding counties. For over fifteen years, NMCS has served as a place for students to be educated in an environment that is conducive to their Christian growth. Using mostly the A-Beka Book curriculum, NMCS strives to prepare students for life both

academically and spiritually. We see ourselves as a tool for parents to use in order to fulfill the biblical command to "train up a child in the way he should go...." In an increasingly wicked world, many parents find the Christian school a pleasant alternative. At New Manna, we want to provide the Christian school student with the complete school experience while pointing them toward Christ. We make available to them many of the same luxuries they would have in public school, but without the sinful environment. We have a full sports program for men and women including volleyball, baseball, basketball, and softball as well as other specialized extracurricular activities.

What a night for our NMCS Athletics! 🩶

Our JV Volleyball, Varsity Volleyball, AND Soccer teams all came away with WINS tonight! 🔥
We couldn’t be more proud of our athletes, coaches, and all the hard work that went into getting us here.

And we’re not done yet! 🏐 Volleyball is BACK HOME TOMORROW at 4:00 PM! Come out, fill the stands, and help us cheer on our teams! 📣

🏐 Summer Volleyball Camp Recap! 🏐

What a fun summer it has been! We want to give a HUGE thank you to all of the girls who came out for Coach D’Jan’s volleyball camp! 🩶

It was so much fun watching the girls learn, grow, encourage one another, and of course have a LOT of fun along the way! 🏐

We are so thankful for each girl who showed up ready to learn and give it their all. We hope you left camp with new skills, new friendships, and some great memories!

A special thank you to Coach D’Jan for pouring into these girls and making camp such a fun experience! We are already looking forward to what’s ahead! 🩶🩶

We are so thankful for each of our students and families and are excited for what God has in store for this year.

❤️ Tomorrow is the day!

I honestly don’t think we could be more excited to open those doors and welcome our students back for a brand new school year!

Doors open at 7:45 AM, and parents will have the option to walk their student into class. We know those first few minutes can be exciting, emotional, and maybe even a little nerve-racking and we want to make it as special as possible.🩶🩶

Our classrooms are ready. Our teachers are ready. Our staff is ready. But most importantly, we are ready for our students.

We’ve been preparing, but we’ve also been praying. Praying for each child who will walk through those doors tomorrow.
Praying for their safety, their friendships, their growth, their hearts, and for God to guide us as we pour into them throughout this school year. 🫶🏼

We have missed their laughter, their energy, their stories, and yes… even their craziness! 😂

Tomorrow, the halls will be full again, and we simply can’t wait to see their faces. ❤️

We hope you have had an amazing summer filled with fun, family, and plenty of memories!

As we get closer to the start of a brand-new school year, please know that we have been praying for our students, families, teachers, and staff and asking God to guide us as we begin another year together. We are so excited to see everyone and can’t wait to welcome our students back!! 🩶🩶

📅 Orientation & Meet the Teacher — August 18th

🕕 Meet the Teacher: 6:00–6:45 PM
🕖 Orientation: 7:00 PM
➡️ You may also meet your teacher after orientation if that works better for your family.

Come ready to get your class schedule, supply lists, important information, and everything you need to get the year started!
