🩻 Hands-On Learning in Radiology! 🐴

Students in the Tri-Rivers Veterinary Science Program recently participated in an interactive radiology lab led by Dr. Pitkin, DVM from Cross County Veterinary Service. During the session, students explored equine anatomy, learned how to safely perform x-rays, discussed why radiographs are an essential diagnostic tool, and practiced reading and interpreting real radiographs. They even got a mini lesson in vaccines, Coggins, and deworming!

This hands-on experience gave students a deeper understanding of how radiology supports veterinary care and strengthened their skills for future careers in animal health. We are grateful to Dr. Pitkin for sharing his time and expertise to make this engaging learning opportunity possible!

Day 3 overall and our guinea pig is back to work! Level 1 students got to go through the bathing process with Bentley, washing, drying, and even teeth brushing!
