It is with a heavy heart that For the Love of Music Studio is closing today. After many years of teaching preschool music, piano lessons and voice lessons, I have decided to start a new adventure. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to teach each and every child. There is a special place in my heart for everyone that I have taught.

Last Thursday, in KiddyKeys at Hand in Hand in Hiawatha, we reviewed where the musical alphabet belongs on the piano. Then we learned about quarter, half, dotted half and whole notes. This week is our last KiddyKeys class ever, and we reviewed the musical alphabet, where each letter goes on the keyboard and the different notes. We played games. We marched with instruments, and we danced! I will miss these children a lot!

Last Wednesday, in KiddyKeys at Hand in Hand on Tower Lane, we reviewed where the musical alphabet belongs on the piano. Then we learned about quarter, half, dotted half and whole notes. This week is our last KiddyKeys class ever, and we reviewed the musical alphabet, where each letter goes on the keyboard and the different notes. We played games. We marched with instruments, and we danced! I will miss these children a lot!

This week at all three Hand in Hands, we reviewed CDE in the doghouse and FG in the Castle. We then added A for Ant in the attic of the castle, and B for Boy on the roof of the castle. We placed FGAB by the three black keys/the castle. We marched to the music ABCs, and we colored an activity sheet of the castle and FGAB. Each student played FGAB in the keyboard too. It was a busy class!

Today, in KiddyKeys at Caring Corner, we enjoyed our last class of the session by reviewing the concepts we learned and talking about Christmas and Jingle Bells. We read a story about and Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell. Mrs. Bonnie gave each student a jingle bell bracelet, and we danced around the room to Jingle Bells. We played instruments to Jingle Bells too. Then we danced with scarves to Jingle Bell Rock while showing high and low. Finally, Mrs. Bonnie gave each student a candy cane and a Christmas sticker. It was such a fun last class!

Today, in KiddyKeys at Hand in Hand Hiawatha, we reviewed CDE by the Dog House and where the three black keys are. We learned that the 3 black keys are called the Castle. Outside the Castle, in the moat, is an F for Frog, and in the first floor of the castle is a G for Girl. We find F and G our paper keyboards and on the regular keyboard. It was a fun day!

Today in KiddyKeys, at Caring Corner, we reviewed Mozart, Beethoven, finger numbers and bubble fingers. Then we talked about how the piano is made up of white and black keys. The black keys have a pattern and the white keys are all letters from the music alphabet (ABCDEFG repeat). We made a HUGE music alphabet train then we marched up and down it while singing the music alphabet song. Finally we colored activity sheet and received stickers!

Today, in KiddyKeys at Hand in Hand 35th, we reviewed CDE by the Dog House and where the three black keys are. We learned that the 3 black keys are called the Castle. It was so busy that one of the classes didn’t even have time to color, so they had homework. It was a fun day!

We found C D and E in and by the doghouse. We marched with instruments as we sang a song about CDE. We played CDE on a giant keyboard, and finally we colored a worksheet of the doghouse and CDE.

11/30/2022
