Got a chance to catch a little bit of the 6th grade YSF Marion squad after our staff meeting this morning! Loved watching them compete and play hard! Excited for their future. Thank you to the coaches who helped throughout the season!

Marion Football Players and Families,

Attached is the newsletter for the week. However, I wanted to make sure and highlight differences for Tuesday. Alliant Energy is running tests on the electrical grid and MHS falls under their shutdown procedures. Meaning MHS is without power for parts of Tuesday afternoon. Admin has given us a couple of options and below is what was chosen.

**On Tuesday MHS is getting out early due to Alliant. School admin is limiting the people who can be in the building after 1pm. So with that, we will be starting practice at 1:30pm. I realize this is not ideal, especially for those MHSAP & Dual Enrolled. We just ask you get here if/when you can.**

Please reach out for questions or clarification. We truly have appreciated the support this season and we're excited that we get another week to improve and enjoy each others' company.

Go Wolves,

Coach Joyner

Varsity vs. Oskaloosa

Congratulations to Junior SS Greyson Steffen on his 3 INT and 2 TD performance last night vs. Oskaloosa. Greyson now sits tied for 2nd for interceptions in a game and believe it or not, tied Rob McComas with 2 pick sixes in a game. McComas performed the feat in 1986!

Go Wolves!

The Wolves are victorious coming home from Oskaloosa with a 41-10 W. Lots of things to be proud of but also clean some things up.

Special shoutout to Jr SS Greyson Steffen for 3 interceptions and 2 pick-sixes in the ball game to put it away!

Colton Taylor and Kaehl Gassmann with 2 TDs each for the offense!

Huge shoutout to Arby’s!

Thank you for donating this week’s team dinner! Our boys were very appreciative of the roast beef sandwiches and loved having a great meal to fuel up. We are so grateful for the generosity and support of our Marion Football community partners!

Big shoutout to both of the Chic-Fil-A's in Cedar Rapids. Both of these locations helped feed our football team last Thursday. We cannot thank you enough for supporting our team! All of the chicken must have helped us get a BIG win over Grinnell!

We Appreciate You!
