MIGHTY MARY Chronicles an amazing group of "we eat nails for breakfast" women: the first all-women's sailing team to contend for the America's Cup. A true underdog story about a team that reshaped what was possible in a sport that had long been inaccessible.

In addition to the screening, we will be joined by world class athlete Marci Porter Lucier. Lucier is an America's Cup Sailor, member of the 1992 US Rowing Olympic Team, and UC Davis Athletic Hall of Fame Legacy Award recipient.

This event is open to the public. Admission is free, but advance registration is requested.

The perfectly crisp autumn days are here, we are officially 1 month in, and what a start to the year! Our campus, hallways, and classrooms (inside and out!) are bursting with energy and smiles from both students and faculty. Today we remember, honor, and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001. We remember the victims, the families, and the communities affected by this tragedy. We honor the lives lost and the bravery of the first responders, service members, and volunteers who answered the call. We reflect on how our relationships with each other, and our understanding of the world is and has been shaped by our shared connection to this day. Never forget.

What a wonderful evening to officially welcome some of our newest students to campus! We loved connecting with so many incoming students and families at our New Student and Family Gatherings this summer. Our faculty and staff enjoyed the opportunity to answer questions, share stories, and get to know the newest members of our Tabor community.
