Marion ISD welcomes and encourages a dialogue between community members, followers and the district.

We want our social media pages to be a forum to discuss education issues, share experiences and feelings, and provide constructive feedback. In order to achieve this goal, Marion ISD will not edit comments, however, we reserve the right to remove comments if they do not follow our social media guidelines. Comments that will be removed because they are not protected by the First Amendment include:

- Defamationโ€” Personal attacks on staff members or other users on the page
- Foul language (comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language; hateful, facially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content; threats; obscene or sexually explicit language.)
- Obscenity
- Direct Threats
- Intellectual Property or Copyrights
- Inciting Illegal Acts
- To ensure the safety of our community, Marion ISD will never post or release information that is considered private and confidential. This includes posting conversations, names, personal schedules, addresses, phone numbers, etc. without noted consent. Photos of students will not be posted on Marion ISD social media accounts if a parent specifically opts their child(ren) out of such communications.

Yesterday, students at Krueger and Karrer Elementary came together to celebrate and honor the brave men and women who have served our country. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

The Karrer Choir filled the room with patriotic songs, while students shared heartfelt words about the meaning of Veterans Day and the importance of gratitude and service.

A special thank you to Mr. McGinnis and Mr. Klaehn for your service and for taking the time to speak with our students โ€” your stories and dedication made this day truly special.
