One of our former members and pianist. His children attended our school and his wife taught in our school for a year.

Meet the producer, Kurt Miyashiro. Dedicated to bringing exceptional performances to our Adventist Schools. The composing of this upcoming play, "King of Me," has been in the works for well over a decade. His family can all tell you how these songs have been integral to their lives growing up as these pieces have been played and sung in the shower, in the kitchen, on drives in the car, and beyond!

Kurt always had a knack for music and from a young age he was writing his own pieces. After graduating college, he taught high school music at one of our Adventist schools in Chico, CA. His dream was always to teach at one of our Adventist colleges, so he went back to get his doctorates in music in the Twin Cities, in MN. His first college job was at a small community college in Southern IL, to his wife's dismay. After 8 long years and constant searching, Kurt and family took a job at Union College, now Union University in Lincoln, NE. Kurt thoroughly enjoyed his time at Union before accepting his Dream job doing music theory at Southern Adventist University. His story is one of perseverance and passion for the arts.

He and all his closest family and friends look forward to inviting you to "King of Me," which shows a glimpse of his commitment and talent that he has dedicated to our Adventist education systems.
