✨Kiddie City Senior Spotlight✨Miss Arabella✨

✨My name is Miss Arabella Williams and I am a member of Child Care 2.
✨I am going to Eastern Illinois University for Early Childhood Education to become a First Grade Teacher.
✨My favorite part of Kiddie City was getting to create a bond with the children and being able to have an amazing impact on their lives.
✨Kiddie City has prepared me for my future because it has given me the opportunities to work in real life classrooms and experience working with children.
✨I would encourage other students to be apart of the Child Care program because this was the class that helped me decide that I wanted to become a teacher, and not only that, but it is such a great program to be in and it gives you so many opportunities.
✨The most memorable part of Kiddie City for me has been the opportunity to make a true connection with each child I had the chance to work with. As well as getting to dress up for Halloween and seeing each child’s personality through their costumes.
✨I am a part of Educators Rising, Key Club, and High Potential Individuals Club. Also known as HPI.

✨My name is Miss Kennedy Blue and I am a member of Child Care 2.
✨I am going to I am going to Southern Illinois University Carbondale to major in Elementary Education.
✨My favorite part of Kiddie City is connecting individually with each child. I love seeing each child come out of their shell and show their unique personalities!
✨Kiddie City has prepared me for my future career by showing me the differences between children.
✨I would encourage other students to be a part of Child Care because the relationships that are created in the classroom are irreplaceable.
✨The most memorable part of Kiddie City has been the feeling of when a child has learned something because I taught them!
✨ I am Co-Vice President of the Class of 2026. I am also a member of Educators Rising and the Family Consumer Science Club.

✨My name is Miss Madilyn Sue and I am a member of Child Care 2.
✨I am going to John A Logan and Southern Illinois University Carbondale to major in Science Education.
✨My favorite part of Kiddie City is getting to know each child and helping them learn and grow each day!
✨Kiddie City has prepared me for my future career because I have learned so many new skills that can be used even in my future classroom and it has really helped solidify my career choice in education.
✨I would encourage other students to be a part of Child Care because it truly does open up many opportunities to make connections with not only each child, but also their families as well! It’s a great way to start your morning and the children really positively impact our lives just as much.
✨The most memorable part of Kiddie City has been watching children have those light bulb moments and getting excited when they understand a new concept or are able to write their alphabet.
✨I am a member of Family Consumer Science, Friends in Christ, and Educators Rising.

✨Kiddie City Senior Spotlight✨Miss Ava✨

✨My name is Miss Ava Dollins and I am a member of Child Care 2.
✨I am going to Shawnee Community College to complete my general studies, then later transferring to a 4 year college.
✨I am going to school to study Veterinary Medicine. My experience in Kiddie City has helped me develop skills like responsibility, time management, and being attentive to individual needs. Working with kids has also taught me how to be patient and handle unexpected situations, which will be helpful when caring for animals in a quick paced environment.
✨My favorite part of Kiddie City is building relationships with the children and seeing their personalities come out more each day.
✨Kiddie city has prepared me for my future career because being in this environment has helped me learn how to communicate effectively, step up when help is needed, work with my classmates as a team, and handle challenges together, especially in chaotic moments. These skills will be important in a veterinary setting where teamwork and communication are essential.
✨I would encourage others to be a part of Child Care because it teaches important life skills while also creating fun memories. You get to build connections with not only the kids but also other students, which can become lifelong friendships.
✨The most memorable part of Kiddie City has been Kiddie City Halloween because it is exciting to see what costumes each kid picks and how they all reflect their personalities.
✨I am a two year member of Family Consumer Science Club and within the Kiddie City program, I job shadow at Lincoln Elementary School once a week. I also job shadow at veterinary clinics twice a week and help out with vaccine clinics at Finding Forever Animal Rescue & Thrift Store.
