A Pearl of Wisdom

Safe Place
Your spouse should be your safe place. You should be able to talk to and share anything with them without fear of consequence or judgment. When you go outside the marriage to discuss concerns, you open the door for Satan to enter, especially if this person is of the opposite s*x. Your husband/wife is(should be) your best friend and confidant. Allow your spouse to be vulnerable with you. Discuss everything concerning you and your relationship with them first. This form of communication is essential in all relationships, and it must be intentional in marriage to achieve oneness. Marriage is sanctifying when you can show/tell your spouse the worst of you and you start the journey together transform to best you can be or to resolve the concern.

This is truly the season of TRUTH!! Not all truth is negative, but when telling someone what they want to hear instead of being truthful it unintentionally hurts you. Not being honest weighs you down. Liberate yourself, lighten your load and tell them the truth. John 8:32 NLT. Be Blessed

Always communicate in love. Be mindful of how you speak and/or respond to your spouse. The energy you bring will often become the energy you receive.
Proverbs 15:1
1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger. [Prov. 25:15.]

Preparation People often say they want to get married. My answer is are you a wife/husband? You can't wait until you get married to be a wife/husband, you must become a wife/husband well before the ceremony. First, you have to prepare yourself to be a wife or husband and then you must allow God to prepare you for "your" husband or wife. In Genesis God created Adam, and gave him his assignment(s) and then He formed and "prepared" Eve(God put in her she needed to be a suitable help meet for Adam) and presented her to him. He was well pleased and the union began. So you see, God will not tell you who to marry, he will, however, present the prepared person to you and you have to make the choice. Ladies, the scripture says he that findeth a wife(Proverbs 18:22 ), not she that findeth a husband. God prepares him and prepares you for him. When both parties are ready, God arranges the connection. So, how do you prepare, (to get you started)? 1. Pray and Fast for guidance 2. Educate yourself with Christian/Godly information 3. Remove spiritual barriers 4. Once you have educated yourself, complete a self-evaluation and begin the work. Marriage is sacred, a holy institution and it is not to be taken lightly. God started the world with marriage (Adam and Eve) and he will end the world with marriage. Revelation 21:2 - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Be Blessed
