Hey everyone! 👋🏼 It’s been a very busy semester, but I’m so excited to open up two ACT Prep Courses to help your student study for the June and July tests!

Choose one of the dates for your student to get a comprehensive overview of all subjects with practice problems and guided instruction. 📝 Each student will receive an ACT book that includes 4 practice tests and 4 additional tests online, as well as a math formula sheet. ➕➖➗✖️The price change is directly associated with the price difference of the best ACT practice book currently on the market.

The deadline to accept your A-State Scholar ($18,000 per year) or Trailblazer ($10,000 per year) Scholarship offer is this Monday!

These are A-State’s most competitive academic scholarships, and two of the most generous scholarship offers in the entire state! After March 2, pending offers will expire and may no longer be available.

To accept pending offers, log into Pack Portal at Pack.AState.edu, click on Banner Student in the left navigation menu, and select “View/Accept Financial Aid Award Offers.”

❄️ Winter Weather Watch — Be Prepared ❄️
The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Winter Weather Watch for our area due to the potential for winter conditions in the coming days. While forecasts can change, now is the right time to prepare so you are not scrambling later.

Winter Weather Preparation Checklist:
Check weather updates regularly and follow official alerts
Make sure vehicles have fuel and emergency supplies
Stock essentials: food, water, medications, and batteries
Protect pipes and outdoor faucets from freezing
Charge phones and backup power devices
Plan for limited travel and check on neighbors who may need help

A little preparation now can prevent a lot of stress later. We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available. Stay warm, stay safe, and let’s all be winter-ready.

The Crittenden County Emergency Services Department has opened the Roberta Jackson Center as the county’s warming center for anyone who needs a warm place.

If you or someone needs transportation to the center, please call Dispatch at 870-702-2000, and the appropriate department will provide a ride. The Roberta Jackson Center is still in need of volunteers if you or someone you know can help.
