⭐️ FUN FRIDAY at The Hill! ⭐️

Mrs. Delrio and Mrs. Lauture’s kindergartners wrapped up the week with a little Fun Friday! 🎉

Because learning how to play together, build friendships, share, laugh, and simply enjoy being a kindergartner is part of the journey, too! 💙💛

We think these little Champions have the whole Fun Friday thing figured out. 😉⭐️

⭐🎲 Reaching for the Stars in First Grade! 💙

Mrs. Riccard’s first grade Champions put their math skills to work with a game of Reach for the Stars! Students practiced recognizing numbers while learning, playing, and having fun together. 🔢⭐

Building those math skills one number—and one star—at a time! 💙💛

🖍️💙 Teamwork Makes It Work! ⭐

Mrs. Bishop’s 1st grade Champions took on the “Two and a Crayon” challenge, working together to build their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills!

Students quickly discovered that sometimes the solution isn’t about doing it yourself—it’s about listening, cooperating, and figuring it out together. 🙌🏻

Another great example of our Champions learning how to Own the Journey side by side! 💙💛⭐

🍬🔬 Sweet Science at The Hill! 🪨⭐

Mrs. Burton’s 3rd grade Champions put their observation skills to the test with a science lesson that was pretty sweet! Students used candy to investigate properties and determine whether their samples represented a mineral or a rock.

Hands-on learning, scientific thinking, AND candy? We’d call that a pretty great day in 3rd grade! 💙💛

There’s nothing better than seeing The Hill filled with Cheatham Hill pride! Our students and staff were showing off their Champion spirit today in their favorite CHES gear. 🙌🏻

Whether you’re rocking navy, gold, or a whole lot of Champion pride, there’s only one thing left to say…

🪨💙 One Word. One Goal. One Journey. ⭐

Mrs. Bone’s 5th grade Champions read One Word and reflected on something they want to improve, strengthen, or work toward this school year.

Each student chose a word to represent that goal and painted it on a rock that will become part of their class rock garden—a lasting reminder of what they’re working toward throughout the year. 🪨🎨

What a meaningful way to start 5th grade with purpose and remind our Champions that Owning the Journey starts with deciding where you want to grow. 💙💛⭐

🔥⭐ Safety First at The Hill! ⭐🔥

Our Champions completed their first fire drill of the school year today!

Students practiced listening carefully, following directions, walking safely to their designated areas, and staying together with their classes. These drills help make sure everyone knows exactly what to do in the event of an emergency—and our Champions did a fantastic job! 👏🏻💙

Learning how to stay safe is an important part of Owning the Journey, too! 🏕️⭐

Learning looks a lot like PLAY in our Kindergarten Social Room! 🧸🎲⭐

Our youngest Champions have been spending time together in the Social Room practicing some pretty important skills—sharing, taking turns, communicating, problem-solving, cooperating, and building new friendships. 💙

From board games and building to dramatic play and lots of laughs, our kindergarteners are learning how to be part of a classroom community while having a whole lot of fun along the way!

Because sometimes the best learning happens when you don’t even realize you’re learning. 🥰

Our Champions put their listening skills to the test with a “Blind Drawing” challenge! Working in teams, students had to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and trust their teammates to complete their drawings—without seeing all the details along the way!

Activities like this remind us that great teamwork starts with being a great listener. Another fun day of building skills, strengthening relationships, and Owning the Journey together at The Hill! ⭐
