ACE Students Put Their Brains to Work! 🧠

Our 5th & 6th grade ACE students recently completed an exciting unit all about the brain! Throughout the unit, students learned about the different parts of the brain and the important functions each one performs. They also put their own brains to the test with some fun and challenging logic puzzles! 🧩💡

To wrap up their study, students took their learning from the classroom to a hands-on experience by dissecting sheep brains and identifying the different structures they had studied. 🧠🔬

What a fun way to bring learning to life! We are so proud of our ACE students for their curiosity, critical thinking, and willingness to dive into science! ❤️🖤

All proceeds go towards upcoming 8th grade class field trips! Forms for players need to be turned in by September 11th. All parents, family, and community members are invited to attend. We are looking forward to a great day of basketball❤️🖤🏀

Ms. Denson’s class filled their reward jar by having good behavior and working hard! They celebrated with a beach party!☀️🌊🏖️

2nd and 4th grade library students visited a “Book Bakery” during library this week. Students learned about different genres and explored books in fiction, non-fiction, biography, and poetry. Students illustrated their favorite book from each genre on a cupcake to add to their cupcake box. Several students chose a library book from a new genre they had never read before. We are excited to watch these students become lifelong readers💗📚

3rd-8th grade 4-H students tried their hand at sling shots today!💥 We are proud of these students for trying something new. Congratulations to Swayze Brown, Sam Henry Wyers, Kayson Burress, and Mia Kate Cunningham for winning the competition today!🏆 It’s going to be a great year in 4-H!🍀

4-H kicked off today with a bang or should I say “ping”😁💥 Students practiced safety and marksmanship with slingshots while shooting at recycled cans saved by our cafeteria crew. Our winning team had 6 points!💥 Congratulations to Jace Sparks, Waylon Brown, and Briar Mink for winning our first ever sling shot competition! We are excited to see all our students grow in 4-H this school year.❤️🖤🍀
