Life University mourns the passing of former professor Dr. David Koch — a cherished educator, mentor, philosopher and servant to the chiropractic profession whose impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.
Dr. Koch devoted his life to advancing the principles and philosophy of Chiropractic through teaching, mentorship and service. Known for his thoughtful wisdom, intellectual leadership and unwavering commitment to the profession, he helped shape countless students, doctors and colleagues throughout his remarkable career.
To many, Dr. Koch was more than an educator. He was a trusted mentor and friend whose words inspired others to think deeply, lead boldly and remain grounded in purpose.
Former Life University President Dr. Rob Scott reflected that Dr. Koch “spoke so elegantly, thoughtfully and rationally about the philosophy behind chiropractic’s unique healing approach,” and described him as a mentor who profoundly influenced both his professional and personal journey.
The seeds Dr. Koch planted through his teaching, leadership and example will continue to grow through the lives of those he inspired. His legacy reaches far beyond any classroom, extending into communities, practices and the future of the chiropractic profession itself.
Life University extends its deepest condolences to his wife Rebecca Koch, his family, friends, former students and all who were blessed to know him. We join together in honoring a life well lived and a legacy that will endure.

Today marked Life University’s 13th annual Scramble4LIFE Golf Tournament hosted at The Eagle Watch Golf Club in Woodstock. We had a great group gather on the links for a worthy cause, as all proceeds from the tournament directly benefited Life University Student Scholarships.
