Greek Historical Film Kapodistrias (The Governor) Coming to U.S. Theaters The Daughters of Penelope (DOP) is pleased to share news of a nationwide screening of the Greek historical film Kapodistrias (The Governor), the fifth highest-grossing Greek film of all time, taking place across the United States on April 22, 2026.

All are welcome to an upcoming Book Panel Presentation & Musical Performance and reception celebrating the recently published book, "The Greek Lyricist and Composer Akis Panou" authored by Thanasis Samaras, George Samaras, and Aikaterini Grigoriadou, and sponsored by the Center for Hellenic Studies at Georgia State University.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora Affairs, Ioannis Loverdos, accompanied by the Greek Consul K. Adamopoulos, visited the facilities of the Holy Transfiguration Greek School of Marietta.
