Grandparents Day Picnic is almost here!
Just a reminder that our annual Grandparents Day Picnic is September 12 from 11 AM–1 PM at CHES!
We’re excited to celebrate our grandparents and give them some time to hang out with their favorite CHES students. Bring a picnic lunch, spend some time together, and enjoy an ice cream treat from the PTA!
PTA members attend FREE (one membership covers the family) or $5 per family at the door.
Grandparents, we hope you’ll join us! And parents… enjoy the morning off while you can. 😉

🚀 Rocket Reader starts TODAY!

Ready, set, READ! The Rocket Reader Program kicks off today, and it’s time to start logging those reading minutes in Beanstack.
From September through March, students will track their reading each month using Beanstack, a free online reading tracker.

Students must read and log 300 minutes by the last day of the month to earn a completion for that month.

So grab a book, find a cozy spot, and get reading! Every minute counts as our Champs blast off into a great year of reading!

Calling All Room Parents!
Friday is our first Room Parent Meeting of the school year! If you’ve already signed up—or you’re thinking about becoming a room parent for your child’s classroom—come join us at 8:15 AM!
Our Room Parent Chairs will share what’s happening this year, what to expect as a room parent, and how we can work together to support our teachers and staff and make it a great year for our classrooms!

🍎 Lunch Guests Are Back at CHES! 🍎
Starting this week, CHES is excited to welcome lunch guests back! We know it can be a lot to keep track of which week is YOUR week, so we’re here to help!

📅 Check out the schedule below to see when your child’s grade level is invited to have lunch guests.
🎂 Don’t forget: You can ALWAYS join your student for lunch on their birthday, no matter which grade level week it is!
And one important reminder: Bring your ID! All lunch guests must check in at the front office.

We know there’s a lot to remember as we get back into the school routine, so go ahead and save this graphic now! That way, when your child’s week rolls around, you’ll know exactly when it’s time to join your kiddo for lunch.
