Last Friday, 7th Grade students enjoyed their first Free Dress Day, worked on Illuminated Manuscripts during History, and worked in groups to prepare summaries for presentation. They are settling in well in their new spaces at Upper School!

As the oldest class on our Lower School campus, the 4th graders have a special responsibility to steward our Oak Cottage Garden this year! Under the mentorship of our resident Farm & Garden expert, Birdie Martin, our students are combining their love for nature with new skills of planting and harvesting beautiful fall crops!

Each year, Stonehaven chooses a "Word of the Year" to help draw our attention to a Christ-like virtue that we can work towards cultivating in our work, our homes, and our hearts. This year the word is FAITHFULNESS: the quality of being loyal and steadfast.

We will focus on the many ways that we are called to be faithful, the many ways that God has been faithful to our community, and the many people who have demonstrated faithfulness to the Lord and to our school.

The Annual Upper School Retreat at Camp Highland is a favorite tradition at Stonehaven.

House Representatives, along with Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Hobson, sorted all of our new students and staff into one of four Houses: Cambridge, Oxford, Trinity, and St. Andrews. Let the competition begin for the House Cup!
