Wheeler Magnet Students making a difference!

Chinese-American community mobilizes to provide medical supplies to Phoebe Two Marietta students drove hours to donate boxes of much needed medical supplies in an effort to make a difference in one of the hardest-hit hospitals in South Georgia.

I hope everyone is staying safe and following CDC guidelines during this trying time. I thought I would share some words of wisdom that came my way yesterday. Here goes:

What a historian of our time might be writing for the future:

And the people stayed home,

And they read books and listened and rested and exercised and made art and played games,

And learned new ways of being, and they were still,

And listened more deeply,

Some meditated, some prayed, some danced,

Some met their shadows,

And the people began to think differently,

And the people healed,

And in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways,

The earth began to heal,

And when the danger passed and the people joined together again,

They grieved their losses and made new choices,

And dreamed new images,

And created new ways to live and heal the earth fully,

As they healed,

As they had been healed by the world.
