Forgive others. Set healthy boundaries. Show empathy. Don't play God. We all have our own journey. Last night Tyler Perry asked Michelle Obama if she still thinks everyone has a light within. I immediately thought yes, but in some people it is definitely out🤦🏾‍♀️. Michelle said "yes. Babies come into this world with a light. When I can't see it I ask myself what happened to them?" That resonated with me as I am often curious about why people behave as they do knowing behavior comes from somewhere. No one is born believing stereotypes, fearful, or hateful. No one raised their hand and said please God, put out the light you so graciously put inside of me. Something happened. But each of us has to do our own work. Each of us has to face ourselves & ask ourselves why are we proving, pretending, performing? Who are we afraid we are not? When you get the answer to that story you get to re-write it. ✍️
