Hollydale Elementary PTA

Hello everyone, we had no idea that a lot of people didn't know what the PTA does with collected funds. In an effort to rectify this, here is a brief snapshot:

Any funding needed that is not covered by Title 1 PTA tries to cover.
Some examples:
-We host the Student of the Month providing snacks and the rewards for the children.
-All Pro Dad
-Tshirts
-School Store
-Spirit Nights
-Bingo for Books
-Holiday Store
-Teacher Appreciation Week ( Food and gifts)
-5th Grade picnic and cake
-Field day
-Some of the Arts expenses
-Computer Programs
-Red ribbon week
-Autism Month
-any Fundraisers

*We hosted a Family Dance, Rummage Sale, Tailgate Party, Movie Night, Bought a basketball hoop and board that was broken. Large world map rugs for the parent resource room. I know I probably missed other things.

Every penny we gather goes right back to the students. I know a $5 membership may seem like nothing but it does go a long way when you add everyone's membership. Especially since only a $1.25 actually stays in the school. The other $3.75 goes to Georgia PTA and are used on a collective for the state to provide funding for all PTA events. We also have to pay counsel dues, incorporation fees, Insurance, and Teacher of the year brunch.
PTA does not want to say no to any request a teacher submits for funds or assistance. Unfortunately the last year or two we have had to because of lack of funds and participation. This is why our in school fundraisers are so important.

It would be a great help if we achieved 100% staff membership this year. Right now we have 32 members and only 3 of those are Staff. I know its a lot to ask for but that is half of our battle. The other half is getting the families motivated and involved.
We are in this together for the sake of our children, school and community. Please join the PTA today

Hollydale Elementary PTA 2nd annual rummage sale is fast approaching. Spaces are available for rent.....only $5.

Membership is year-round if you haven't gotten yours yet, it's not to late. We are striving for 100% teacher and family participation. Please join!

We had a great day at the early registration. Proud to announce we have 12 PTA memberships already for 2014-15.
Becky Schmidt was the first staff member followed by our new nurse Monique Rodriguez.
We have shirts for sale and of course PTA memberships.
It's going to be a phenomenal school year. Enjoy the rest of your vacation every one.
