The Wood Acres School

What a wonderful conclusion to this school year! We are smiling from ear to ear just thinking about all of the memories. Special congratulations to our 8th grade students who graduated with honors at the Chattahoochee Nature Center yesterday, and to our 5th graders as they all received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence at our last day of school Honors Assembly today. This special honor is one bestowed on our 5th and 8th graders each year as they consistently meet the rigorous criteria. Way to go! We also awarded a WA graduate scholarship today to a WA graduate who graduated from high school this year. We are so proud to honor excellence and to celebrate our rich legacy. What a fabulous fun last Friday of the school year! Our 2-year-old performance, followed by the New Family Welcome Popsicle Party on the Quad, and ending with an off-campus Altitude Jump Glo Party last night was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate!

Our entire WA community came together once again in an inspiring show of generosity during this year's Annual 5th grade End of Year Canned Food Drive to support Must Ministries. This effort helped stock shelves for people in need and strengthened our sense of community and compassion on campus too. Thank you to all of our AMAZING families that donated and for your incredible support!

The annual Spring Band, Chrome Ensemble, Art, and Talent Show Concert 2026 was a fabulous success! A sneak preview of the concert was put on for the whole school yesterday and the full performance was last night for everyone to attend. Great job to all of the performers and artists. The annual third grade Roman Day at WA was filled with Roman gods and goddesses, skits, goblet making and amazing aqueduct STEM challenges. Thank you to all of our fabulous families for coming to participate in making history come alive!
