The Walker School is a​ college-preparatory day school in Metro Atlanta serving children ages 3 through 12th grade. It is the independent school for families who seek an engaging educational experience within an intimately scaled, caring and diverse community where opportunities abound and meaningful relationships inspire transformative learning.

Jay came to Walker in ninth grade. “I am most proud of the research that I have done for Spark Day and Guided Scientific Research.” His favorite memories are from senior year. Jay played on the Junior Varsity Golf Team, was a Math Team member, Robotics 16346 member, and Coding Club member. He will attend Stony Brook University in the fall. Congratulations, Jay!

Sam started at Walker in eighth grade. “I am most proud of my personal development socially and academically.” His favorite memory was the golf State Championship his sophomore year. “We placed second, and it was the most fun I’ve ever had.” Sam played golf, was a member of Culinary Club, Spike Ball Club and Fellowship of Christian Students. He will play golf at Virginia Wesleyan University in the fall. Congratulations, Sam!

Because of you, 62 students had the opportunity to experience the excellence of a Walker education during the 2025–2026 school year.

Thanks to 158 generous donors, more than $383,000 was redirected to the Georgia Goal Scholarship Program to support student scholarships, opening doors and creating opportunities for students and families.

Jonathan came to Walker in eighth grade. “I am most proud of the relationships I’ve formed with such great people during my time at Walker.” His favorite Walker memory was during his senior year, when Walker beat Mount Paran in baseball. Jonathan will continue his baseball career and is committed to Wofford College in the fall. Congratulations, Jonathan!

Zowie came to Walker in ninth grade. “I’m proud of myself for being able to do all of the things I wanted to do here at school while juggling classes. I initially was scared to join things like the fall musicals or any clubs my freshman year, but joining them and making friends in them made me feel comfortable enough to branch out of my comfort zone.” Her favorite memory was being the hidden figures with Haven and Lyric during “Alice by Heart” her junior year and being a part of the musical with her sister, Laurie, her junior and senior year. Zowie was on the musical crew her freshman year and an actor her sophomore through senior year, crew in the play her freshman and junior year. She also played Varsity Basketball, Varsity Tennis, Varsity Track and Varsity Lacrosse. She will attend Spelman College in the fall. Congratulations, Zowie!

Joaquin started at Walker in first grade. “I am most proud of the connections I have built through the Walker community both academically and on the baseball field.” His favorite memory is making the Elite 8 his sophomore year. Joaquin played Varsity Baseball at Walker and has signed to continue playing baseball at George Fox University in the fall. Congratulations, Joaquin!

Lily came to Walker in seventh grade. “I am most proud of the leadership roles I’ve held and how Walker has taught me the importance of taking initiative.” Her favorite Walker memory was receiving heartfelt letters from the juniors on the softball team during her senior night. Lily played Varsity Softball and served as captain her junior and senior year, played Varsity Lacrosse, served as Vice President of Discipline Council, was a Step Up member and a Peer Leader. She will attend the University of Georgia in the fall. Congratulations, Lily!

Michael came to Walker in sixth grade. “I am most proud of the connections that I have fostered over my time across the entire Walker community.” His favorite Walker memory was leading the 2025 Homecoming Field Day and Pep Rally and seeing the camaraderie that was formed by everyone in the Upper School. Michael was captain of the Varsity Boys Soccer team, played Varsity Football, served as President and Vice President of the Student Activities Union, was treasurer of National Honor Society, a member of Jazz Band, National Honor Society, HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Fair Oaks Elementary, a Step Up leader and Homecoming King. Michael will attend Emory University in the fall. Congratulations, Michael!

Morgan came to Walker in ninth grade. “I am most proud of my designs for clubs and events.” Her favorite memory at Walker was the senior parade last year when her brother graduated. Morgan was Art Club President, Dessert Decor Founder and President, a Student Activities Union member, Student Policy Committee board member and a Step Up leader. She will attend Spelman College in the fall. Congratulations, Morgan!
