As mom used to say, all things in moderation.
Artificial sweetener directly linked to blood clots and heart disease
One of the most commonly used sugar substitutes is Erythritol, found in your morning coffee, protein bars, and low-carb products.

From one of my amazing teachers, Joseph Rosenthal! This reminds me of his lesson on primary and secondary foods was very insightful. He taught us you can eat a truck load of broccoli but you will not be healthy if you are not nourishing yourself with healthy connections and relationships. That underlying emotional well-being will always manifest itself in your physical health. A health coach can help you to take assessment of areas where you need to work on primary food and where you can begin to work on secondary food, like leafy green vegetables!
You can eat all the broccoli in the world, but if you feel isolated and lonely, you're not going to be living life at full capacity. Eating healthy is important, but the relationships that feed our souls are even more important. Share this with someone who feeds your soul.

FILL YOUR CUP:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

I remember something called Peanut Butter Balls that had oats rolled in peanut butter or something.
As part of my final research essay at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I conducted a study of local school lunches. They are pretty much a carbon copy of what was served when I was in school (many moons ago); chicken nuggies, mystery meat, and "pizza".
