Yesterday I posted the testimony of how my son was miraculously freed from suicidal depression. This is the beautiful smile God returned to his handsome face. Praise God who delivered my eyes from tears!

As promised, here is the testimony regarding my son's miraculous healing from suicidal depression. God continues to bless our family through all we learned about prayer & His word & His faithfulness during that season.

Please share with anyone who needs a testimony of encouragement & God's faithfulness. I lay out all of the things God showed me to do which helped me stand on the truth in Christ. I learned how to walk in a deeper level of rest in Christ after facing one of the worst storms of my life. My amazing son battled suicidal depression in 2020-2021 (like so many other young people during that time). Miraculously, he was supernaturally delivered on the evening of August 6th, 2021. It is a tremendous testimony of victory; however, the victory was so much more than my son's healing.

In that storm, God strengthened my heart in the waiting (Psalm 27). The waiting was brutal because I had the option of believing God or Satan - Satan was relentless in those times. Thankfully, I chose to listen to what God said regardless of what my emotions were tempted to believe.

That storm gave me the courage to leave my comfortable, high paying job in 2022 in obedience to God's call to raise up other "Christ thinkers" in the marketplace. Because of that storm, my son developed a relationship with God that is now deeply rooted in Christ. He now recognizes that God didn't place him in that storm; however, He lovingly navigated him through and out of it.

Since then, I have coached others through their storms - business and personal. I am seeing my clients weather really tough things with such peace and rest in God. I am seeing their employees (even if the employees are not Christian) THRIVING under their leadership.

When we learn to dance in the storms of this life, the unbelieving world is blessed with a real-life view of God's nature, other Christians are strengthened, and Christ is glorified!!!

I can look at a healthy person & their eating habits and say "I know how to get healthy" but I don't personally experience good health until I myself eat that way. Not only that, I must eat that way regularly or else the benefits fade.

It is no different with the word of God and our souls. A healthy soul is one that is fed and trained by scripture. Jesus prepared a table of scripture for us to feast on. We get to sit at that table with Him and dine on whatever our souls needs.

If you are a Christian who does not like to read the word then your enemy's strategy is working. Satan knows that he maintains an advantage when we don't have the truth planted deep inside of us. It's why it was so easy for him to deceive Eve - she didn't hear the truth first hand from God. She heard it from Adam who heard it from God before Eve was created. If you read closely, you will notice she did not accurately relay to Satan what God actually said to Adam about the trees in the Garden.

If we rely solely on our pastors' revelations of the scripture & aren't eating the word ourselves in partnership with the Holy Spirit, we will be deceived. We can also become numb to the nudges of the Holy Spirit which can be very dangerous if the nudge is telling us not to get on that plane, don't take that roadway today, stay home and so on. More than 90% of Christians questioned by a pastor (who ministered to folks who had gone through a trauma or tragedy over a period of 40+ years) acknowledged that they had a "feeling" telling them not to do that thing which ultimately resulted in a terrible loss. They obviously ignored the nudge & most of us will too if we're not keeping ourselves sensitive to God's Spirit by eating of His food. Daily intake of & meditation on the word is the only way to stay healthy in an unhealthy world.

Waiting is so countercultural! However, it is a scriptural aspect of being a powerful representation of Christ to the world around us.

I was coaching a client the other day & we were breaking down why she was so upset by her manager's unwarranted criticisms. I've been training this client to evaluate each criticism thru the lens of the Holy Spirit which has resulted in so much freedom & peace for her. However, the devil is nothing if not persistent so the exercise is always an ongoing one.

She then realized her anger was rooted in fear which was rooted in the lie that her manager has the power to destroy her reputation. The truth is that when God is our #1 relationship, anything someone does against us is nothing compared to what God can do for us. Faith over fear is what empowered Peter to sleep deeply on his first night in prison - who does that? He became a supernatural being in Christ & by spending time with the Living Word.

Get in the word & just watch your faith get stronger. Grab onto one scripture against fear & hold onto that, meditate on it until the Holy Spirit cements it into your soul. Stop pleasing Satan - ugh, we all do it but that perspective really helps me get out of my fear-filled thoughts almost immediately. I DO NOT want to assist him with ANYTHING!

The word is alive. Just like a plant grows by receiving water & light, so we grow just by taking in the word. It is a supernatural planting of truth that grows on it's own. Your part is just taking it in - try it for 30 days & see what happens.
