We can’t believe the school year is over! It was filled with so many great moments, and we loved capping it off with the end-of-year picnic with all of you. ❤️

👏 Another huge thanks to Ashley, Sarah, Sena, Alex, Debbie, Camille and Kat for all their incredible work leading parent engagement. We are incredibly thankful to have such engaged parents!

💐 We were so blessed to honor one of our much-beloved teachers on her many years of service with us and to be joined by some of her family and former colleagues as well!

🕊️🪶During the short month of May, we wrapped up Wonders of Creation by exploring birds! We looked and listened for them flying overhead, perched in our trees, and singing to us.

It was a great opportunity to practice our listening and visual discrimination skills as we noticed some of the common types of birds and what sets them apart from each other. The children loved crafting birds and matching real feathers to pictures of the birds who “dropped” them!

It’s Laudato Si' Week (May 17-24), marking the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark call to all of us to care for creation, so it’s the perfect time to share some of our spring Wonders of Creation lessons!

In April, we explored pollinators and cultivators, some of the fascinating living creatures that help our gardens grow! 🦋🐝

We love welcoming classroom caterpillars! 🐛 The children get to watch as they eat and get bigger, then become chrysalises, then emerge as butterflies. Releasing them among the pink ladies in our garden is so much fun!

🪱 Plus, one class worm dig meant lots of cultivators were added to the raised bed as our veggies grow.

Mary always points us closer to her Son, Jesus. What a joy to honor the Mother of God today with May Crowning. Our younger students filled vases with freshly clipped blooms from our wildflower garden, and Pre-K gave her a crown of flowers. It was such a joy to have parents and baby siblings join us as we prayed, sang and the children played their instruments to some well-loved Marian music. 🌸🙏🌼🌷💒

🌟What a Teacher Appreciation Week!🌟 Our amazing families made every day special with notes, treats, gifts, flowers and even a surprise homemade breakfast! 😋

Today’s luncheon was beautiful, delicious and put together with so much generosity and care. Thank you for showing the teachers and staff so much love and for letting us serve your families! 💐♥️

What a blessing to see Pre-K parents come together last Friday over coffee to share wisdom and questions in this peer-led session for rising Kindergarten families about what to expect next year. Companionship with others who “get”where you’re at is so important on the journey of parenting.

Their children are almost ready for their next step, and thanks to the strength of community, their parents have a leg up on what’s ahead when they get there. 👍
