🍎 Community and relationships matter, especially when you’re raising young children.

Yesterday’s Back to School Welcome was a great place to start as families toured their classrooms, heard from their teaching teams, learned what Parent Engagement has planned for the year ahead, and received their children’s school bags filled with information designed to encourage happy first days.

It was a delight watching parents exchange phone numbers, set up group chats and start getting to know each other as the preschool’s 20th school year is poised to begin! 🎉 More on that soon…

We love kicking off our preschool year with Summer Institute, an annual conference bringing together early childhood educators from across the Archdiocese of Atlanta for a day of inspiration and continuing education to fuel our work in the year ahead.

Proud to see our own Ms. Johanna earn her 5-year AoA service pin (plus 20 years in the field before that outside the archdiocese!). ❤️

A huge thank you to our colleagues at St Peter Chanel Catholic Church for hosting and the Archdiocese of Atlanta Office of Catholic Schools for making this fantastic day possible. We can’t wait to put what we learned into action with our students in a little more than a week!

✨🚀✨ Our summer camp week 2 adventure was out of this world! Highlights:

🪐 Star, comet and rocket art - and a rocket launch!
☄️ Moon mission relay, rockets & comets, and other fun teen-led games
💫 Solar system & moon landing sensory exploration
🌓 Delicious snacks like “solar sandwiches” and “moon cakes”
🌊 Time to splash down for a day of water fun to end the week!

“Sea” all the fun we had on our underwater adventure? Summer camp week 1 highlights:

🐠 3-D interactive crafts: pet turtles, stingrays, fish and a team hallway mural!
🦀 So many fun teen-led games, like dolphin says and four oceans
🐚 Sensory room sand, fishing, soothing sounds and calming lights
🪸 Delicious snacks from “orca whale food” to “shoreside starfish”
🌊 A day of water fun to end the week!

We can’t believe the school year is over! It was filled with so many great moments, and we loved capping it off with the end-of-year picnic with all of you. ❤️

👏 Another huge thanks to Ashley, Sarah, Sena, Alex, Debbie, Camille and Kat for all their incredible work leading parent engagement. We are incredibly thankful to have such engaged parents!

💐 We were so blessed to honor one of our much-beloved teachers on her many years of service with us and to be joined by some of her family and former colleagues as well!
