🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from AZTESOL!

Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer. It is a day rooted in the American labor movement and dedicated to recognizing the contributions, achievements, and dignity of working people.

First celebrated in the 1880s and established as a federal holiday in 1894, Labor Day reminds us that many protections workers have today were shaped by generations of people advocating for fairer, safer, and more humane working conditions.

For AZTESOL, this day is also an opportunity to recognize the incredible work happening in our classrooms and communities every day. Teachers, instructional assistants, administrators, counselors, researchers, community partners, and countless others dedicate their time and talents to creating opportunities for multilingual learners across Arizona.

Today, we celebrate not only the work we do, but the people behind that work. 💚

Thank you to everyone whose labor helps our students, schools, and communities thrive.

Happy Labor Day!
