Last week, our students spent two fun-filled Water Days soaking up the sunshine, cooling off at the splash pads, and bouncing their way into summer break!

These special days were the perfect way to celebrate the end of an incredible school year—a year filled with growth, learning, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Watching our students laugh, play, and enjoy time together was a beautiful reminder of the strong community we've built at Dare To Be Academy.

As we close one chapter and look forward to a well-deserved summer, we're grateful for every student, family, and staff member who made this year so special.

Last May 26, 2026, our Dare To Be Academy community came together for a fun-filled field trip to Funbox Mesa, and what a wonderful day it was!

Seeing our students and families laughing, playing, exploring, and making memories side by side was a beautiful reminder that Dare To Be Academy is more than a school—it's a community. From bouncing and climbing to cheering each other on, every moment reflected the joy, belonging, and connection that make our school so special.

We are incredibly grateful to our families for sharing this experience with us and for being such an important part of our learning community. The smiles captured in these photos tell the story of a day filled with friendship, adventure, and togetherness.

During craftivity time, our students created emotion masks using paper plates, colors, and lots of creativity. As they designed different facial expressions, they explored how emotions look, feel, and can be expressed in healthy ways.

Activities like these help children build self-awareness, emotional vocabulary, creativity, and confidence—all while having fun creating something uniquely their own.

Our students transformed simple toilet paper rolls into imaginative robots during STEM class. Through designing, building, and problem-solving, they explored engineering concepts while letting their creativity shine.

Our young engineers put their STEM skills to work as they designed and built popsicle stick bridges. Through creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, students explored the exciting world of engineering while learning that great things are built with patience and perseverance.

👩‍🍳🍪 Future pastry chefs at work! 🍪👨‍🍳

Our students recently stepped into the kitchen for a hands-on life skills and cooking project, where they became pastry chefs and baked their very own chocolate chip cookies from scratch!

From measuring ingredients and following directions to mixing, baking, and cleaning up, students practiced valuable life skills while having fun and building confidence. Cooking activities provide meaningful opportunities to strengthen math skills, sequencing, problem-solving, teamwork, and independence—all while creating something delicious to enjoy.

At Dare To Be Academy, we believe some of the most powerful learning happens through real-world experiences. Projects like these allow students to explore new interests, develop practical skills, and experience the pride that comes from creating something with their own hands.
