NextStep at Endeavor Academy

What a lovely surprise this rainy morning to have Corissa Garrett and Savanna Clemmons drop by to present NextStep with a generous donation! Representing the Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) Candidates for the Florida Conference of the AME Church, Ms. Garrett stated, "We think NextStep is an excellent program with an amazing mission." Today is Jordan's third work anniversary with NextStep. She has shone in her role as Transition Coach, juggling many details to make sure our first residents are safe and comfortable in their apartments. We recognize Jordan for her THOROUGHNESS in how she pays attention to the little things to accomplish the big things. Thank you, Jordan, for your service and dedication to NextStep!

Today marks three years at NextStep for Susie! We have all enjoyed the delicious things she cooks for us, but it is her patience and skill in teaching that really makes a difference. We recognize Susie for her DETERMINATION in the way she accomplishes goals even when it is difficult. Thank you, Susie, for your service and dedication to NextStep!

When learning how to make a pizza is one of your goals, NextStep is happy to help! We are so proud of this young lady as she tackles adulting tasks!

NextStep is mourning the loss of the Reverend Dr. Samuel Everett, one of our inaugural Endeavor Forward board members. Sam stepped up to answer the call to create a brand new program for adults with autism, and faithfully served as a volunteer board member since the beginning of this vision. He was an integral part of our dream to bring beauty from ashes--a man of faith, character, and kindness who will be greatly missed.

Oh my, y'all. NextStep's Class of 2026 had their graduation photo shoot today and now it's getting real. We are going to miss them so much but we are so very proud of all they've accomplished in the past two years! We are a year-round academy, so our graduation is in July--stay tuned for more photos as we gear up to celebrate this crew.
