Today we are introducing our final winner for the FPPA scholarship Reagan Hudson.

Reagan Hudson is 24 years old and hails from Chiefland, Florida. In 2024, Reagan graduated
from the University of Florida with a dual degree in Nutritional Sciences and Preprofessional
Biology with a minor in Environmental Science. Currently Reagan is continuing her education
with the University of Florida as a Nutritional Science graduate research student. Her focus is on the connection between agriculture, nutrition, and public health. Reagan has goals of attending medical school, specializing in endocrinology, and returning to her hometown to serve the community that raised her.

We are pleased to introduce another FPPA scholarship winner Megan Fulford.

Megan is the daughter of Ernest and Sarah Fulford. Megan attended Community Leadership
Academy from K-3 through 11th grade and continued her education as a dual enrollment student at Tallahassee State College. She spent her Senior year completing all of her nursing
prerequisites and plans to start the nursing program this fall. Megan has been involved in the National Honor Society, cheerleading, and mission trips, including a trip to Guatemala this past year. She looks forward to becoming a nurse and helping others in need.

We are introducing another FPPA scholarship winner, Maddox Scanlan!

Maddox Scanlan is a graduate of Madison County High School with a passion for agriculture, welding, and the outdoors. Growing up around his family’s farm, Maddox developed a strong work ethic and gained hands-on experience with crop production, farm equipment, and agricultural operations. He plans to pursue a career in welding, where he hopes to use his skills to support the agricultural industry and rural communities. In his free time, Maddox enjoys welding, shooting sporting clays, and hunting dove, deer, and duck. Through his experiences in agriculture and the outdoors, he has learned the value of hard work, patience, and continuous growth, qualities he plans to carry into his future career.

Today we are introducing Kason Amerson, another winner for the 2026 FPPA scholarship.

Kason Amerson is a junior at Florida State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree with plans to attend dental school after graduation. Raised on a fifth-generation cattle, cotton, and peanut farm, Kason has grown up with a deep appreciation for agriculture, hard work, faith, and family. His family’s farming legacy, along with his grandfather’s service to the Florida Peanut Producers Association and his father’s continued work as a farmer, has shaped his values and future goals. Kason hopes to use his education to serve rural communities through dentistry while also returning home to help continue his family’s agricultural legacy.

This week we will be introducing our 2026 scholarship winners! Today we would love to introduce Emily Cason.

Emily Cason is a dedicated student leader from Lakeland, Florida, currently pursuing her AA
degree at Hillsborough College and aiming to major in Business with a minor in Agricultural
Policy. Her leadership extends statewide as the current vice president of the Florida Junior
Angus Association and a past board member of the Junior Florida Cattlemen’s Association, roles
in which she has advocated for agricultural policy at the state capitol. Combining her business training classes and policy education with extensive internship experience, including work with the National Women in Agriculture Association.
