Despite the rain on Friday, the field day hosted by Dexter Gilbert and his family was a great success!

The event brought together those with close ties to agriculture, senior citizens, and youth—all sharing a common appreciation for agriculture and the people who make it possible.

FPPA was proud to be part of such a great event, talking peanuts, grilling sandwiches, and supporting the industry we care so much about.

The Florida peanut industry is saddened by the passing of Kris Balkcom.

Though he worked just across the state line in Alabama, Kris was a friend and advocate for peanut growers throughout our region. His knowledge, passion, and dedication to the peanut industry made a lasting impact.

The peanut industry has lost a great one. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. 🥜💙

Florida peanuts were represented at The Future of Pediatric Practice 2026 in Orlando! 🥜

The Florida Peanut Producers Association enjoyed visiting with pediatric healthcare professionals and sharing information about the nutritional benefits of peanuts and peanut butter. We are always thankful for opportunities to promote Florida peanuts and share how they can be part of a nutritious and balanced diet!

The Florida Peanut Producers Association and Florida Cotton Growers Association enjoyed bringing growers together for lunch, fellowship, and an informative afternoon. A special thank you to Dr. Ednaldo Borgato and Ethan Carter for sharing valuable information with our growers!

We appreciate everyone who joined us and helped make the event a success. Opportunities like these are a great way to connect our growers with research, resources, and information they can take back to the farm.

Farmers and sheller representatives participating in the Peanut Leadership Academy Class XIV toured West Texas last week.🤠🥜
PLA Class XIV had a great time exploring the many facets of West Texas agriculture—from vineyards and buffalo to organic farming and composting. They even had a little fun creating this video highlighting the new industry campaign, "It's not nuts. It's peanuts."
