๐ Could your family qualify for free or reduced-price school meals?
As we begin a new school year, we want to make sure Iowa Valley families know that you may qualify for free or reduced-price meals even if you have never applied before.
Eligibility is based on household size and income, and the income limits are higher than many families realize.
For the 2026โ2027 school year, a family of four may qualify with a household income of up to:
โข $42,900/year for free meals
โข $61,050/year for reduced-price meals
There are also circumstances in which students may automatically qualify for free meals.
There is no harm in applying if youโre unsure. The application is confidential, and your familyโs eligibility status is kept confidential.
