A powerful reminder that parental involvement matters!

We’re so proud of our Educational Director and Co-Founder, Jamie Hoskins, for using her voice to advocate for children and families!

Her message was clear: Parents play a vital role in protecting their children, and being present, engaged, and intentional makes a difference.

At Kurios Academy, we believe children are a precious gift from God, and parents have been entrusted with the incredible responsibility of nurturing, guiding, and protecting them. We are honored to partner with families as they raise the next generation in truth and faith. ❤️

Take a moment to hear Jamie’s message!

What an incredible opportunity to have our very own Educational Director and Co-Founder, Jamie Hoskins, speak alongside Florida AG James Uthmeier and other state and local officials today in Naples!

During a press conference announcing convictions and significant prison sentences for six child predators, Jamie shared an important message about the vital role parents play in protecting their children and the importance of staying actively involved in their lives!

At Kurios Academy, we believe every child is fearfully and wonderfully made, created in the image of God, and deserving of love, protection, and a safe environment in which to grow and thrive. As parents and educators, we have been entrusted with the sacred responsibility of nurturing and protecting the children God has placed in our care.

We are so proud of Jamie for boldly using her voice to advocate for children and families! We thank God for those who courageously pursue justice, defend the vulnerable, and stand for truth. May we continue to faithfully protect and guide the next generation! ❤️

We are lifting up all those impacted by Hurricane Isaias in prayer. May the Lord bring strength, peace, and comfort to the families and communities affected during this difficult time.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1 🤍

Our students are learning to say these beautiful words in Spanish!

In Mrs. Julie’s Spanish class, students are learning language through a Charlotte Mason-inspired approach that emphasizes conversation, movement, and meaningful repetition. Through actions and kinesthetic learning, Spanish becomes something they don’t just memorize but actively speak, hear, and experience.

What a beautiful way to learn a new language while hiding God’s Word in their hearts! 🌿🙏

“Jehová es mi pastor; nada me faltará.”

Our Forensic Science students have been learning with Dr. Denise how investigators develop latent fingerprints using superglue fuming, also known as cyanoacrylate fuming! 🔎

During the experiment, objects containing fingerprints were placed in a chamber with superglue. As the superglue released vapors, the cyanoacrylate reacted with residue left behind in the fingerprints, forming a hard white polymer along the fingerprint ridges and making the once-invisible prints visible.

Students then learned how to lift the developed prints, examine their ridge patterns, and determine who they belonged to.

The results were fantastic! Fingerprints that had been invisible before the fuming process became clearly visible and could be recovered for further examination.

Such a great hands-on demonstration of how chemistry and forensic science work together to reveal evidence that might otherwise go unnoticed! 🔬

Learning skills that go beyond the classroom. 🔧🚘

Our Mechanics students rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on experience with Mr. Rob! From getting underneath the car to working under the hood, they learned how to change the oil and oil filter, replace the engine air filter, and add power steering fluid…all while gaining a better understanding of how a vehicle works!

Hands-on experiences like these give students the chance to build practical, real-world skills, ask questions, and grow in confidence as they put what they’re learning into practice.
