On June 18, 2018 I received a diagnosis of Amyloidosis AL. That pathologist's report took me to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and then to the Florida Cancer Specialists in Naples where I received 16 weekly chemo treatments which caused peripheral neuropathy which pushed me to apply mindfulness learning tools I developed and used in my 42 years of teaching to improve my quality of life and stop taking prescription drugs for pain and for sleeping. My membership on the Facebook Amyloidosis Support Group and on the Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group and my daily journal led to this book available on Amazon and iBooks.
