Teen Vision is a unique program that gives our students an opportunity to be involved in a real world video production shoot. The students get a hands-on approach to video production. They have an opportunity to learn studio work by creating and videotaping live productions from our very own TV studio. Students also have the opportunity to go out in the field and video tape various programs that V
al Verde Unified School District offers as well as events for our local communities. The great thing about Teen Vision is that students learn how to edit, conduct interviews, switch on live productions, and learn the latest software’s such as Adobe Photoshop for pictures and graphics , Final Cut Pro for editing, Garage Band for creation of music and Adobe After Effects for Special Effects. All student produced programming has an opportunity to be showcased on Time/Warner Cable Channel 16. Our Channel is shared with the Moreno Valley Unified School District and our air time is every Tuesday, Thursday’s and Saturday’s with alternating Sunday’s. We are receiving overwhelming accolades from the local communities regarding the various programs and shows we produce. Some recent broadcast include: A Magazine show that highlights the various topics for our community. Teen Vision students have also created numerous commercials for such businesses as; Juice it Up, Martial Arts school, and are very own Val Verde Graphics department. This in turn has brought in new clients and business. We also are responsible for videotaping various events for the District such as Football and Basketball games, Track meets, Dance recitals, Spelling bees, and Musical concerts to mention a few. As for the community, we have filmed the Perris Christmas Parade and Veterans Day Parade, and a promo video for South West Juvenile Hall, just to name a few. Teen Vision has also had phenomenal success with its after school “Movie Class”. Each year a short movie is created that pertains to a specific genre and drives home a “Good” message that is viable to today’s youth. For 8 consecutive years, our movies have won prestigious awards from the Panasonic KWN program. Del Campo, an instructor with Teen Vision and several students have gone to New York to receive their awards. Del Campo and his team won the “Best Video of the Year” and went to Japan to receive their award from the president of Panasonic. They have also received awards from the “Student Multimedia and Media Film Festival of California and the T-Tauri Film Festival, Palm Springs student Film Festival, and the International Student Film Festival. We also have won the prestigious “CINE” Golden eagle Award. We are very excited about the endless possibilities that Teen Vision Productions has to offer our students as well as our surrounding communities. Remember our purpose is to promote a higher level learning in a practical and meaningful way. The Teen Vision program is always ready to go.
