SCHOOL MEAL PRICES INCREASE BY 5 CENTS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR, STUDENTS ATTENDING CEP SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) school meal prices for the 2026-2027 school year are increasing by 5 cents for breakfast and lunch.
Meal prices for elementary school students are $1.50 for breakfast and $2.95 for lunch. Meal prices for middle and high school students are $1.65 for breakfast and $3.20 for lunch. Milk is available to all students, and remains 75 cents for the school year.
The free and reduced-price meals application is live for the new school year. Parents should complete the application as soon as possible to ensure their child receives benefits, if eligible. Visit https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application to complete the application.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) determines income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced-price meals. To view the guidelines, visit the CCPS website. All families are encouraged to complete the meals application, regardless of income status. Information collected on the application is used to garner other benefits such as funding for technology and increased student support services.
Families only need to complete one application. Students who received free or reduced-price meals last school year will retain their status until Oct. 7. Families new to CCPS who are completing the application for the first time must pay for school meals consumed by their child until their application is processed. Paper applications will be sent home with students the first week of school.
CCPS also has several schools that qualify for the Community Eligibility Provision, known as CEP. Students who attend CEP schools receive free breakfast and lunch all school year. A current list of CEP schools is below.

As of July 30, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has not finalized the Maryland Meals for Achievement (MMFA) program, which provides free breakfast for students in select schools.
CCPS will continue to use the Meal Viewer platform to post school breakfast and lunch menus. Menus will be linked to the home page of the CCPS website under School Meals at www.ccboe.com.
