“Best field trip ever!” Summer at Tower’s Pathfinders spent a day aboard the Black Sheep lobster boat this week. They learned so much from the lobstermen, and will always remember the deep yellow sky. 💛

The Juneteenth flag carries the
symbolism of June 19, 1865—the day enslaved Texans learned, two and a half years late, that they were free.

The star represents Texas; the burst represents freedom for African Americans in all states; the horizon
signifies the opportunities that lie ahead; and the colors remind us of the promise of liberty and justice
for all.
