🎤 Vocal Tip of the Week:
Listen first… then sing.
One of the biggest things I see (especially in group settings) is singers going full volume right out of the gate.
But here’s the truth, if you can’t hear, you can’t match pitch.

Before you sing:
👂 Listen to the note
🎯 Lock into the pitch
🎶 Then add your voice

You don’t need to sing louder… you need to sing smarter 😉

Try this:
Next time you sing, back off your volume just a little and focus on matching what you hear first. You might be surprised how much easier it gets.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is step back from all the noise, take a deep breath, and get back to what really matters.
For me, that’s music, growth, and helping my students find their voice and their confidence 🎶
Y’all, there’s always room to grow, no matter where you’re starting from.
I’ve got a few lesson spots open in April. If you’ve been thinking about it, go on and take that as your sign 💛
Shoot me a message and let’s get you on the schedule.

Vocal Tip of the Day 🎤
If your voice feels tired or strained, try this:
👉 Sing into the mask.
That means keeping your sound forward, right behind your nose, lips, and cheekbones.

A quick way to find it:
✨ Start with a hum
✨ Feel the vibration in your face
✨ Then open to a vowel and keep that same feeling.

If it feels easy and buzzy… you’re doing it right 🙌
Forward = less strain + better tone.

Me: just booking some Cajun & Zydeco bands for work
Also me 5 minutes later:
CRAVING gumbo like right NOW!
And don’t come for me…
that potato salad is going RIGHT on top. 💅🔥

The glamorous life of a singer… 😅
Today’s vocal care lineup while I recover from this bronchitis mess:
☕ Hot tea
🍬 Ginger chews
💨 Nebulizer breathing treatment
When your voice is your instrument, the most important thing you can do is take care of it.
Hoping to be back to full strength soon. In the meantime, we’re doing all the things. 🎶
Singers, what’s your go-to remedy when your voice needs a little TLC?

Some days we work on:
• breathing• pitch
• tone• confidence
And some days we work on simply showing up and trying again.💛

🎤 Vocal Tip!

If your shoulders lift when you breathe to sing, you’re probably taking a shallow breath.

Keep the shoulders relaxed and breathe low into the ribs and belly instead. More airflow = more vocal freedom.

Your voice will feel the difference. ✨

Good morning, party people ☀️🎶It’s a new week with a whole lot of music waiting to be made.

Who’s singing today?

We sure did! 🤘🎧
02/26/2026

We sure did! 🤘🎧

We didn’t skip tracks.

We absorbed them.

Side A.

Side B.

Start to finish.

You laid on the carpet staring at nothing.

Letting every lyric land.

No notifications.

No shuffle.

No distractions.

Just you and the sound.

You memorized solos.

You rewound bridges.

You knew the order because the band decided it.

Music wasn’t background noise.

It was an event.

And that living room carpet was front row every night.
