In addition to the various prizes and rewards offered through the school and the online Prize Store, the Read-A-Thon company is holding a nationwide drawing for a magical trip for four people to Walt Disney Theme Park. Once you register your child for our Read-A-Thon and use the dashboard to send 10 text messages, you will be automatically entered into the drawing. Read-A-Thon will pick one lucky winner from all the Read-A-Thons held during the Fall season.

What a Week!
WOW!!! What a successful and fun start to the school year! HUGE shout-out to our PTO for providing breakfast for the staff on the first Friday!

We have loved seeing everyone come in ready to start! There were some tears from students and parents, but that is to be expected. Soon everyone will adjust to the routine, and all will be well. Starting Monday, parents need to come through the car line. No one will be allowed to walk students to the classroom door. We promise to take care of them. Thank you for trusting us to love them while they are here!

ALSO, next week ACE begins! This will speed up the pick-up line! Please pick up your students by coming through the line rather than walking to the front door. This will help with safety in the afternoon. The picture below shows how the car tag should be placed in the window.

Also, students will be counted tardy starting next week. It is important to note that the tardy bell rings at 7:45 am.

Attendance Expectations
Our attendance policy applies to all students in PreK3–5th grade:
Doors open: 7:15 AM
Instruction begins: 7:45 AM
Arrivals after 8:00 AM or pickups before 3:00 PM will be considered unexcused absences unless a medical note or a counselor's note is provided.
If your child will be absent, please email our registrar, Taylor Mitchel, at [email protected]. District policy allows up to three parent-excused absences for illness.
Following a medical appointment, please submit a doctor's note to the registrar in person or by email at [email protected] to have the absence excused.

Unexcused Absences:
3 unexcused absences: You will receive an automated district notification.
5 unexcused absences: You will receive another notification and a call from the school to complete a Truancy Prevention Plan.
10 unexcused absences: Truancy may be filed with the court in accordance with state requirements.

Every minute of learning matters! Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child is here, ready to learn, and on time each day.

Next Friday, we will begin our weekly assembly in the gym at 7:45. Parents are welcome to come. The first one will be short because we don't have awards to give yet.

Car Tag Placement - This allows us to see the number clearly.

Important Reminders
Please make sure that you drop your students off in the car line and let us know if their home transportation arrangements change for the day. We still have several students being walked across the parking lot in the mornings. This is not safe. I ask that you drive through the car line and allow us to help them out of the car if needed.

Attendance is vital to a student's success. Please ensure that your student attends school each day they are well. A doctor's note is required to excuse an absence.

Marble Falls Elementary Families,

We are thrilled to be holding our Read-A-Thon for the third year. This event helps our school raise funds and helps our students grow their minds as they read more and more and keep track of their minutes.
The Read-A-Thon will run August 28 through September 11. More information on how students and families can participate will be sent home soon.

Good morning and WELCOME BACK!! We are so happy to see you!
Just a few reminders:
School hours are 7:15-3:15
Students will not be allowed in the building prior to 7:15. Please do not drop them off without supervision prior to the doors opening.
THIS WEEK - parents may walk students in and to the cafeteria or to their classroom without a badge.
NEXT WEEK- parents will drop students off in the car line to walk to class or the cafeteria on their own.
Transportation changes - Please have all transportation changes made with the front office no later than 2:15. This helps to make sure that we are successful in getting your student to the right place at the end of the day.
Please call us with anything you may need. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of Rocking Our Learning!
