SIGN UP TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY, and ! Come make a difference this year on Saturday, September 12 and participate in 9/11 National Day of Service! Six schools have projects for volunteers of all ages to join, and MMS is also hosting a blood drive on 9/5. Many families have participated in previous years, and it has become a wonderful tradition bringing together the community for our schools. Join us at the MUSD Family Resource Center weekly beginning Tues., Sept. 1 for an 8-lesson Food Nutrition series helping families to eat smart on a budget! The University of Arizona Expanded Food and Nutritional Education Program partners with to help participants learn skills and strategies to prepare nutritious meals on a limited budget.

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Mann to the Dove Mountain CSTEM team!!!

My name is Christina Mann. I am the new part-time ELL Specialist. I'm here at Dove Mountain in the morning and Twin Peaks K-8 in the afternoon. I am actually a Mountain View Alum. After High School, I moved to California to get my teaching credential and ESL endorsment from Concordia University, Irvine. I got married, taught in California for a while, moved back to Tucson, and joined MUSD when my children were little. I have really enjoyed teaching English Language Learners here in Marana.

In my life outside of school, I love spending time with my family, gardening, cooking, baking, building stuff, and learning new things. We're a busy 4-H family. My teenagers are in several projects. These include poultry and pigeons, which they show at the Pima County Fair every year. We currently have four Black Copper Maran chicks we hatched this summer. They're adorable!

Help support and families through a Shoe Drive being hosted in our community! Local organizers are collecting new shoes, socks, underwear, and hygiene products.
