🚨 Student bikers and walkers: Pathway Closures in Gladden Farms Area 🚶‍♀️🚲

Families with who walk or bike to school should plan ahead for upcoming Phase II pathway closures beginning September 1.

📅 Closures are scheduled for Sept. 1, 2, 5, 9–12, 15 & 17. The schedule may change.

Please review the image for when pathways will be closed. Follow all barricades and signs, use open pathways only, and allow extra travel time. Do not enter closed areas until they are officially reopened.

SIGN UP TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY, and ! Come make a difference this year on Saturday, September 12 and participate in 9/11 National Day of Service! Six schools have projects for volunteers of all ages to join, and MMS is also hosting a blood drive on 9/5. Many families have participated in previous years, and it has become a wonderful tradition bringing together the community for our schools. Mrs. Amy Allen, Fire Safety Educator from Northwest Fire Department, came and led a fire safety lesson with our 2nd graders yesterday. They discussed how to prevent home fires and how to respond if one were to happen. Students performed a house fire scenario, demonstrating what to do and what not to do. Northwest Fire has made a commitment to community outrach and education, and Estes Elementary School is grateful for the valuable partnership.

The University of Arizona Expanded Food and Nutritional Education Program partners with to help participants learn skills and strategies to prepare nutritious meals on a limited budget.

Help support and families through a Shoe Drive being hosted in our community! Local organizers are collecting new shoes, socks, underwear, and hygiene products.
