Our first concert in our faculty concert series sure will be a fun one! Brought to you by our fantastic guitar teacher (and father of 2) Ian Lubar

Ian & Jer is music for you and your little ones.

Lifelong friends Ian and Jeremy have been making music together for more than 20 years, playing in multiple bands and sharing a friendship that started before either of them can remember. Their mothers grew up together, and now their own kids are growing up together too.

Today, Ian is raising an infant son and toddler daughter, while Jeremy is raising a toddler daughter of his own. The girls are already friends, continuing the next generation of a friendship that began with their moms—and now Ian & Jer are bringing that same lifelong musical partnership to a new audience: babies, toddlers, and the grown-ups who love them.

Music made for little ears, big feelings, and families making memories together.

In an effort to keep this concert accessible to all families, we are offering Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) tickets to this performance.

*NEW* Workshop with Dan Eubanks coming your way this October!

In this 3-week session, Dan will demonstrate how the Nashville Number System can be used to quickly communicate an arrangement to a group of players that may never have played together, efficiently and without endless rehearsal or discussion. By the end of the workshops, participants should have a working understanding of how to interpret and create charts using this system, which is useful particularly for but not limited to rhythm section players in many settings in the pop, folk, blues, jazz, country, bluegrass, and r&b worlds.

This class will be recorded and will be available digitally for enrolled students

WHEN: Saturdays October 17, 24, and 31 from 2-3pm
WHERE: St. Louis String Collective STAGE; 3530 Greenwood Blvd.

Registration fee is $85 for all 3 classes.
In an effort to keep our workshops accessible, we are also offering a limited number of Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) registrations for this class.

Join us for the next class is our Fall Tune Class Series!

For the next 12 weeks, we're teaching a new tune every Monday. Build your repertoire and confidence as we learn a new fiddle standard each week. This class is designed for beginning and intermediate string players (ie. violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, banjo) who wish to hone their playing-by-ear skills. Some experience on the instrument is required. Resources for further practice will be provided each week.

Big changes ahead for our part of Maplewood! We’ve had an eventful week this week while the new greenway and bike path is being constructed. Getting to us will be a little complicated for a few more days, but the new sidewalk and path will be so nice!
