Registration is open for all 3 Creative String Ensembles! Ensembles vary by age and experience level and are open to students age 12 through adult.

Our ensembles are for musicians looking to build confidence, creativity, and community through music. Music selections will focus on non-classical styles and will vary by ensemble. Students will develop important musical skills including learning songs by ear, improvising, accompanying others, and applying music theory in creative ways

Learn a tune a week in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment in this 12-week course. Build your repertoire and confidence as we learn a new fiddle standard each week. This class is designed for beginning and intermediate string players (ie. violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, banjo) who wish to hone their playing-by-ear skills. Some experience on the instrument is required. Resources for further practice will be provided each week.

Dates: Monday September 14th - November 30th from 6pm-7pm

Location: St. Louis String Collective STAGE; 3530 Greenwood Blvd

Full list of songs and single-class registration will be available on August 18th

$20 per single class; advanced registration is preferred, pay at the door is available

Meet the instructor of our new Beginning Guitar Class - Adam Hoskins!

At 22 years of guitar experience, Adam Hoskins is considered an accomplished musician by most standards. After graduating Central Visual & Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, he went on to graduate Webster University with a Bachelors of Music. Hoskins has performed over 2,500+ shows in 48 States, 20+ countries, on 4 different continents. He has performed on around 30 different albums and releases including the Grammy nominated Blunderbuss by Jack White. He's been Teaching guitar & music lessons privately for the last 12 years with students being accepted into elite level colleges including Berklee College of Music. Although Hoskins is qualified to play most genres of music, he specializes in roots Blues, Jazz, Country, and Rock 'n' Roll.

Join us for a new eight week course where we will explore the fundamentals of your instrument from the perspective of a complete beginner. This class will help establish proper technique and provide a solid foundation for growth while focusing on traditional and popular music styles.

All instructional materials needed will be provided by the instructor. Students must provide their own instrument
