We're having our first Family Story Time.

Families are welcome to arrive at your convenience and come just for story time at 11 or come earlier to play. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This event is geared towards children ages 3-5, but all is welcome!

Our 4 year old son is currently enrolled in their Prek program, and we’ve really enjoyed our time at the school. We appreciate that he has Hmong class, sings Hmong songs, eats some Hmong food and that programming is full day!

They are now enrolling!

One of the things I’ve been eagerly waiting for since last year is the opening of Heritage Hmong Preschool!

Pang Xiong of Project Hmong is the owner of this preschool and I’ve gotten to know her over the last few months and even got a sneak peek of the preschool. Pang’s vision for Heritage is amazing, yall. She and Heritage are gonna be amazing contributions to the Hmong early childhood world.

I hope my own kiddos can go here soon!

When my children went to daycare and when I ran my daycare, I had kiddos bring in a pillow and two blankets (one to cover their cot and the other as their blanket).

But these rolled nap mats make so much sense and come in sizes that fit nicely over the cots!

As a board member of the Hmong Early Childhood Coalition (HECC), I want to share our upcoming trainings for parents and all providers (aspiring, new, current).

If you are starting the licensure process to become a licensed family childcare provider, you will need to take Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (SUIDS; free) and First Aid/CPR ($45) trainings. (The HECC's first aid/CPR training is the most affordable first aid/CPR training on the Develop website.)

I am currently a board member of the Hmong Early Childhood Coalition (HECC). Even though I’ve heard of them in the past, I began connecting with them when I became a provider!

They offer many culturally relevant resources and trainings (some of which are needed for licensure) that are free or low cost to providers!

If you’re looking to start out —> definitely check out HECC resources.

We need more Caregivers in our Circle. If you are a caregiver connect with Ntxheb Xiong our Early Learning Coach. She can help with 1 on 1 coaching, resources for children, connection to other programs within MN, and get first choice for our Training Series.

Sadly, this wasn’t an option for me bc I ended my job at the end of October and had to open my daycare the following week so there wasn’t a gap in income. But if you have the ability to plan for this, it may be worth thinking about.
